It’s Official!
After a marathon night of compiling a powerpoint analysing the socio-political evolution of the Mexican national identity from 1830-2012, we finished the outline and sent it to our teacher. Almost there…!
12 groups had to present on 5 different countries (so yes, some repeats), and each of us had 30 minutes to speak. Prof. Cavarozzi said it was fine for one person to do the presenting, and also fine for us to speak in our own native tongues. We chose Irving, cause he’s a great public speaker, is from Latin America, is really interested in the course material, and also because, well obvi - he speaks spanish fluently!
The first day, a group of 3 Brazilians spoke for 1.5 hours in Portuguese. Then a Colombian presented on Colombia for 40 minutes, and the Prof let us out very early. Doing the math, it didn’t really add up.
So one day, for 10 people to go, with 15-18 minutes each.
It was a marathon, but Irving killed it! Then I left early, cause Craig’s flight landed in Argentina (my first visitor)! Then we met up with the class for some pizza and danced til 6 in the morning!
It’s officially summer vacay!!!
