Red eye

Woke up last Monday with a totally bloodshot eye. I hadn’t really done anything, except sleep really really well, so I wasn’t sure what was wrong with me.

I waited one day, then decided to go to the doctor just to be sure. I searched for a clinic online, wrote down a few addresses and ventured out with Brett. Both places were long gone, but we stumbled into a health care insurance place. With a “oh yeah, you need to go to the eye doctor today”, we were awarded an address that was “in use”.

$200 pesos, a 15 minute wait, and I was sitting in the doctor’s office. Before even looking at me she told me I was fine. I felt like walking out and saying, ok can I have my money back! But she checked it anyways. She told me I could get it from lifting heavy weights, from vomiting, and from childbirth. I assured her I hadn’t done any of those things anytime recently and walked out with a clean bill of health.

Better to be safe than sorry!
